How I Found My Wedding Photographer

My wife and I only got married 3 months ago, and we had only 6 months before that to organise our big day. This sounds like a lot of time, but when you have to find and book a venue, find caterers, a DJ and lots of other suppliers, 6 months is a very short space of time.

One of the things we found really difficult to do was to find a wedding photographer. We started by doing some reserch online. As we live in Croydon we decided to do a search for ‘wedding photographer croydon‘ on the search engines. We then went through the first 3 pages of listings systematically and looked at each of the websites in turn. We then created a shortlist of our favourite 5 photographers and emailed each one of them for their pricing and availability details. Of those 5, 3 were available and also within our budget, so our next step was to meet with each of these 3 photographers.

The first two photographers that we met were ok. Their work was good, but somehow we didn’t really ‘gel’ with them on a personal level, which was a shame. The final photographer we met, Matt, was great however. Not only did we love his work, but we also found him a really easy person to get on with. This is a crucial factor that many couples forget. After all, you will be with your photographer for quite a while on your wedding day, so it’s really important that you get on with him or her. We were delighted with our wedding photos. They really captured the story of our day and captured some truly wonderful memories.
